About Erin

(she/her)

I am a Licensed Psychologist with a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. Since 2010, I have been in private practice helping clients manage their anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health, and eating disorders.

I've worked in a number of different settings including community mental health, forensic, inpatient hospital, partial/day treatment programs, and an eating disorder treatment center.

My clients find my style open and dynamic in a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment. I'm here to give you the time and space to tell your story, find relief from your struggles and grow within the experience.

Psychotherapy Services

Individual Therapy with Adolescents, Young Adults and Adults

APPROACH

In session I use an interactive, Relational approach, as well as other effective therapy techniques in order to help you understand and find relief from your distress. I often incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT), as well as mindfulness and body-oriented awareness from Sensorimotor psychotherapy.

Each treatment is tailored to your needs, your struggles and your strengths. From my experience and training when stressors become overwhelming our ability to respond in flexible, adaptable ways can be limited and we often rely on rigid thought and behavior patterns. The process of exploring difficult emotions embedded in these patterns while challenging the unhelpful thoughts that get sticky, within the safety and comfort of the therapeutic relationship allows for you to discover new resources and resiliency.

I welcome those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and greet this community with acceptance and understanding.

Specialties

Perinatal Mental Health

I specialize in maternal mental health, including Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, pregnancy grief, loss, and fertility challenges. I work with women, pregnant people and their families as they navigate this vulnerable time.

Eating Disorders

I have extensive experience providing care for people struggling with body image, emotional eating and eating disorders. I often coordinate care with nutritionists and meal support specialists, medical doctors and families. If there is a question regarding the type of treatment and level of care that is most appropriate I can assess your needs and make recommendations. I support a Health At Every Size (HAES) approach and mindset, which fosters size-acceptance and an end to both weight discrimination and the cultural obsession with weight loss and thinness.

Helping Professionals

I have a particular interest and depth of experience working with people in the helping professions, whether they be other psychotherapists, those in the healing arts or those in the medical field. The needs for people who care so intensely for others are often unique and can often be minimized or overlooked.

Young Adults

Working with young/college aged adults is a great joy and has been a large part of my practice for years. This transitional time in life raises opportunities for growth in so many areas of your identity and relationships.

Clinical Supervision

I am trained in and thoroughly enjoy providing clinical supervision for pre-licensed and licensed mental health professionals.

Payment is expected at the time of service. Cash, check or credit card accepted. Sliding fees are available and can be discussed upon request.

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
